Schoolwide Learner Outcomes

The ten qualities we nurture in every HWIS student

Our Schoolwide Learner Outcomes define what it means to be an HWIS graduate. They describe the knowledge, skills, values, and dispositions we intentionally develop across every programme, classroom, and community experience — from Grade 7 through Grade 12.

The Ten SWLOsGraduate Profile

Each outcome reflects our commitment to developing the whole student — intellectually, ethically, socially, and personally.

Thinkers

Critical & Creative Minds

Students apply thinking skills critically and creatively to recognize and approach complex problems, making reasoned and ethical decisions.

Communicators

Confident & Collaborative

Students understand and express ideas confidently and creatively in more than one language and in a variety of modes. They work effectively and willingly in collaboration with others.

Principled

Students act with integrity and honesty, with a strong sense of fairness, justice, and respect for the dignity of individuals, groups, and communities. They take responsibility for their actions and their consequences.

Open-minded

Culturally Aware & Receptive

Balanced

Whole-person Wellbeing

Students understand the importance of intellectual, physical, and emotional balance to achieve personal well-being for themselves and others.

Reflective

Self-aware & Growth-oriented
